Grand Opera House Historical Sites and other Cool Places
Completed in 1894 by G.F. Andrae, this red brick structure has three
distinct bays. The side bay storefronts have been altered and have pairs of tall transom windows on the second floor, topped by slotted brickwork and heavy metal cornice.
Individually listed of the National Register, the theater once had an ornate wooden marquee. The interior was extensively remodeled in 1940. Used as a movie theater extensively
from the 1960's, it closed in the 1980's and has remained vacant and in disrepair. However, at the end of 2007, the Fox Theatre marquee was repaired and is normally active
				  during the Holiday Seasons.
