Stevens Point Brewery Historical Sites and other Cool Places
Over 140 years old, the Stevens Point Brewery was founded in 1857
				  by Frank Wahle and George Ruder. It is the 5th oldest continuously operating brewery remaining in the United States. It is Wisconsin owned and independantly operated. In the 1880's
				  it first produced Point Special Beer and became the top selling brand. Point Bock, a dark lager, was introduced in the 1930's. Point Classic Amber was created in the 1990's along
				  with a popular Root Beer. Chicago Daily News in 1973 rated Point Special as the number 1 rated beer in a taste test.
